Solar, Wind, & EV Academy (SWEV) – Spring 2025

Get ready to explore the future of energy! The Solar, Wind, & EV Academy (SWEV) is an 11-week program for high school students interested in the fast-growing world of renewable energy. Through hands-on learning, field trips, and expert-led sessions, SWEV offers a deep dive into the careers, technologies, and skills driving a sustainable tomorrow.

  • Program Dates: Saturdays, January 18 – April 5, 2025

  • Time: 9 am – Noon

  • Location: ISU Renewable Energy Lab

  • Cost: $100 (Scholarships available)

  • Transportation: Provided for all field trips

  • Other Renewable Systems – Explore a range of clean energy sources

Hands-On Field Trips
Experience energy in real-world settings with guided tours to exciting locations such as Rivian, RWE in Maroa, NOAA in Lincoln, EDP Renewables, and more.
